Dear Students:

I seemed to have caught the flu bug and all weekend long I've been down with a splitting headache, weak body and watery eyes. I will not be in any shape to drive over 50 miles at 6 a.m. tomorrow to get to SMC for my morning classes, unless I want to be in the evening news as a part of the statistics of Monday traffic incidents. I rarely miss classes, but this time I feel it's necessary to not take the risk, I hope you all understand.

You don't have to report to class tomorrow as there will not be any attendance sheet posted on the door. Continue to study Chapter 8--Verbs--which we'll discuss partly on Wednesday before the test. The Unit Test covering Chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7 will still be on Wednesday, March 7. This test will have only 20, very easy, multiple choice questions. It's a 30-minute test, can be done in less than 15 minutes; some students have taken less than that, and scored well.
